catching up with things Ive made

OK so I am totally loving the black and silver one but it doesn't have a zip in it yet. I was inspired to make these because we have my DH work do this weekend and i don't have a purse only problem is that my dress is blue- so i think i am gonna have to make another trip to spotlight and get some blue fabric.So since the black one didn't match and doesn't have a zip i thought i would try making something that would at least 'go 'with what i am wearing but now i don't like the ribbon on this one - it is too purpleThe button on this one is more the colour of my dress- so I think i am either gonna have to go get some ribbon to match this one or have another go.
I am happy to have another go- it improves my sewing skills

Yesterday I made a new bag.... what do you think?
Last week I made one LO, which I have also put up on the shop and crop website for their November challenge- only using one product range.

And also got together my 25 favourite Christmas things- since this year we could/ will be in the middle of moving I didn't want to put too much pressure on my self with 25 days of Christmas, I was worried that I will get behind and wont be able to catch up easily- so I have changed the title to suit this year :)
The papers are little yellow bicycle as are the tags and numbers- which made it nice and quick to whip up :)

Today I Made

This weekend I made

This weekend I made piles of boxes, AND IT FELT SOOOO GOOD!!! They have said that the house will be finished mid to late November. So this weekend was filled with lots of shopping. My SIL took me to Ikea and we had a ball there I think we were there for at least 3 1/2 hours. Then on Sunday Paul and I bought both lounge suits to go in the new house( we have a family room and a home theatre) and I AM SO HAPPY. I feel like we are ready now.You see i had no idea what I was gonna do with the family area decoration/colour wise but now it has all fallen in to place. And so all I have left to buy is some curtains for the family room, and something for the bathroom toilet windows (they are clear glass and quite large windows) YAY I feel so ready. And as I started packing these boxes I started to come across things I have bought to go in the new house and that made me feel even more ready, the picture in my head is really started to come together.....

Should I share a house photo since i haven't shared one for a while

this is (obviously) the kitchen, which I am a bit spewing about because Paul didn't come to that appointment, to choose the kitchen - so I played it incredibly safe worried that he wouldn't like it, now he loves it and i am not so sure- I think I will be happier once the floor is in and the walls are painted :)

Today I Made

Today I made a BBQ apron for my FIL's B-day but I didn't get around to photographing it so I will have to share tomorrow(that was a debacle that i will also have to share tomorrow). I also made a huge canvas to hang my scrapbooking LO's on which was one of Jen Halls bonus projects for her class (loving it) and also completed two LO's, only one of them to show you though....

I finished off anouther three cosmetic bags last night:

I am not sure about the flower, weather to embellish these little bags or not...

My SIL has a small salon with a few clients she suggested that I put some cosmetic bags in there leading up to christmas to sell, I think this sounds like a happy idea and I am gonna give it a go!My SIL saw my lazy day skirt and has requested one for christmas, they are just so easy to sew up I thought I would get it out of the way now. My hand made christmas pressies are starting to pile up I think I have made something for nearly half of my family, YaY! and I have had a lot of fun doing it.

Today I made

Two small cosmetic bags, the purple one is about 20 cms across and the other is about 15. They were fun to whip up, tomorrow is gonna be cooler here in Adelaide so I am hoping to whip up a few more. I think they will make a nice little Christmas gift. They could be used for many things I guess- a coin purse? Would you like one????

Today I Made....

Play dough The recipe:

3cups of flour
1 1/2 cups of salt
2 tsp of cream of tartar
3tbs of oil
2 cups of hot water
vanilla essence
food colouring

I think I have posted a play dough recipe before but i think this one is closer to the one my mother used to make for me. If you were making the play dough one colour put it in with the water.I generally use just boiled water so I don't let Blake get his hands in there until after it has cooled down. I also knead in glitter when I knead in the colours
