Lukalicous not delicious

Sorry for the pixel photos , i don't know what happened there. Anyway gave myself a challenge today and that was to scrap using only these products and my tools and to photograph the journey. It was fun! I find that sometimes i get bogged down just by the fact that i have far too much scrapping stuff and sometimes i am not as creative as i could be just because it is easier to pick up a product and use it rather than make something yourself...Check our the mess i had made by the end (i really need to go clean that up :D ) oh and check out those hideous tiles my mum has on her bench top lol. She is gonna renovate when we get out of her house..O O O and a house update- construction phase is about to start this week YAY YAY
By the way My little boy is walking every where now!!!!! Every time he walks into a room now it freaks me out still ;P

Little Lukalicous

As he is known in our house. I'm sure Blake is going to start telling people that that is Luke's real name- Lukalicous...

Look how cute my baby is OMG he finally smiled for a piccy. Yesterday we had a beautiful day, the boys played outside together and it was just really nice. Later Luke walked from the couch to the door (about three metres )!!!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes, I was saying "walk to mummy walk to mummy" his little face lit up and he just did it. This is a huge milestone for him, he has been taking one or two steps or even 4 or5 but never this many he just usually falls on his butt. I am so proud of him. He has had a growth spurt and is a little taller and is 'talking' more now, at least he is using his voice more. He is 1 and a half now and i have to say that i have been a little worried about him, but each time he has a spurt my heart rests for a little then i start to worry all over again. Blake is such a bull at the gate and did everything on time if not a little early that it is hard not to worry about Luke.
I love you at the moment Luke you are such a happy little boy xxxxxOOOO

Shhh....

This is what i have really been doing lately.
I have had so much fun making these kimono style pajamas for Blake, I first saw them on a blog, but i cant remember where but i know that you can buy them here :http://www.duckcloth.com.au/category.php?category_id=117.

The pattern arrived in the mail the very next day so I was straight off to spotlight. ANY WAY the first one has a racing car pattern on the flannelet fabric, the second are just a cotton fabric and have helicopters on them. They were very easy to sew , the first one took me almost all day but only because i couldn't get my head around the instructions. I usually sew out of my head so i don't use the correct terms for things, so that took me a while. The second pair took about two hours so you could definitely whip up some pj's in an evening. And the pants are super easy! i think i might use the same pattern to make some tracky pants for Blake.

Catch up

This is a bit of a long post but oh well.......
These are some of the layouts from the shop and crop retreat the above ones are from Kathie Links class and the one below is from Alison Shearer's Class. You can buy these kits at http://www.shopandcrop.com.au I thoroughly enjoyed making all of them... and the others that i still need to complete ;)

This is my name tag - just thought i would share

Cool Dude is a layout that i completed at the escape, Blake loves those sunglasses

I have been having fun with photos of Blake atm, this photo of the layout doesn't quite show the apple juice dripping down his face and his grubby little chin
Today Blake told Paul a story about two bears, a daddy bear and a little boy bear , and the boy bear was screaming and the daddy told him 'NO'
He is growing up too fast, we have been reading lots of books lately and he now knows his colours, number and his shapes, including diamond, square, circle, oval triangle etc.... so u can imagine the conversations that go on in this house at the moment... What shape do you want your toast cut into? What colour do you want in the bath ( answer: yellow and blue to make green).
Luke has also been coming along in the last few days. Today he played catch with nanny and bake on the grass with a small plastic ball and did fantastically well he was throwing the ball while standing up then sitting down and catching a ball that was being rolled to him. HE had a fabulous time after getting past his fears. he is always scared ...
Ali if you are reading this would you please please please email me that website we were talking about that would be fantastic.

I am back

So I returned home form the shop and crop escape last night. I had the most fantastic time!! All the girls were so positive and happy and fun to be around. My boys were all so happy to see me, all three of them (the big one included) couldn't get enough of me, which was unusual but very nice, they had missed me very much. But I couldn't believe that my house was tidy, dishes were done and washing had been done WOW!!!

Also I have to say thank you to Kathie Link for being a fantastic travel partner- we wouldn't have gotten home without you LOL ;)

And thank you to Sharon for being a beautiful roomie.

And thank you to all the online girls who were all just fantastic, inspiring and just amazing.

I will post some photos of the things i made when i get a chance
